Restaurant Alpe Foppa
The Restaurant Alpe Foppa is a self-service restaurant offering typical Ticino cuisine. Its interior, which was renovated in 2020 in an environmentally friendly manner, houses a shop where you can buy souvenirs and products from Ticino as well as meeting rooms and many seats. Below you will find the menu with our fixed gastronomic proposals. In addition, you find seasonal offers everyday.
A large terrace not only invites you to eat outdoors, but also to enjoy a sunny day completely relaxed in a sun lounger. There is also a kiosk on the terrace in front of the Alpe Foppa restaurant that offers refreshing drinks, coffee and tasty snacks. Every day Chef Roberto and his team offer a different delicious dish of the day, such as polenta and braised beef, crespelle alla montanara or “Pollo al cestello” (Chicken in the basket). The dish of the day on Wednesdays at Restaurant Alpe Foppa is vegetarian, while on Fridays you will find fish as the menu of the day. The gastronomic offer also includes hot vegan dishes that are freshly prepared on request.
The kitchen and the Chef
The Restaurant Alpe Foppa is specialised in traditional cuisine from Ticino. Specialities include dishes such as polenta nostrana with two cheeses, braised beef or Ticino luganighetta. The use of local and regional products is the focus of all dishes on offer.
Since 2018, the Executive Chef of the Alpe Foppa Restaurant is Roberto D’Angelo, specialised in Mediterranean cuisine and spoon desserts. Those who have already had the pleasure of tasting one of his delicious dishes confirm that he is also a specialist in traditional Ticino cuisine.
